Owner Abele Oscar Riva, passionate about creating unique and wonderful dishes he remembers from his Northern Italian family home, has gone so far as bringing Chef Marco Riva (no relation) from Italy. Chef Riva is from the wonderful town of Lecco, in the region of Lombardia. He has grown up in the culinary world with both parents and other family members being in the restaurant and hotel industry. Homemade pastas and risottos are second nature to him - where the emphasis is on using only fresh ingredients that are local to the area and presenting them in a way that enhances their flavors. Chef Riva has worked in prestigious restaurant kitchens throughtout Northern Italy and has studied with the chef of the famed Villa d'Este in Lago de Como.
